This is an old video with a difficult soundtrack. The narration is old fashioned and the voice like an old newsreel. It is definitely worth showing, however, for a history of the control of the Mississippi. The film shows the construction of the revetment that lies on the riverbed. This is the only treatment of the subject that I have seen and the class and I found it amazing. The narration did not explain, just told and showed, so it generated quite a discussion.
