Mary Saums is a writer of poetry and short fiction and was chosen by the poet Nikki Giovanni for a Tennessee Writers Alliance Award. She has worked as a recording engineer on gold and platinum albums by Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and many other artists. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
