Most of the songs on this cd are average, but they are balanced out by a few spectacular tracks. I enjoyed the Hawaiin language ones, You Don't Write, but my absolute favorite is Friend of the Devil. For some reason it struck a chord and I can listen to it over and over and over again...

Back to the Palolo valley days of sitting around playing music and singing with family and friends. Even if you don't write me I'll sing you a song. Of course this goes out to all us brown eyed girls!!

I have all of the Ka' Au Crater Boys CD's. I know all their songs and wish they would get back together and come tour in Cocoa Beach, Florida. I have built up a strong bunch of fans from my telling others about the group.

The music is wonderful & relaxing. The sound is soothing and the voice harmony great. True Hawaiian melody & sound mixed in with music tunes everyone knows.

You'll listen to this often, no matter where you are on the planet.

I may have trouble explaining my attachment to this CD. I have only spent a few months here and there on Kauai, long enough for it to become my favorite place on the planet. Maybe it's the way their voices blend, right up their with Lennon/McCartney or Crosby/Stills/Nash in my book, legendary stuff. And maybe it's the mix of Hawaiian songs with nostalgic baby-boomer tunes. This CD never fails to put me in a better mood. If I was going to be stuck on a desert island with only 25 CDs, this would definitely be one. If I was stuck with only 10 CDs, it might even make the cut. If any of this makes sense to you, and you can find a copy, buy it.
