I ordered this item specifically because both the photo and the description alluded an actual ninja-to boken. However, when I received what I thought I had ordered, it was not a ninja-to, it was a normal curved-blade samurai katana boken. I only rated this product as 3 stars in that it does have good balance, a braided cord handle, and works very well for what it is built for. BUT, it is not a ninja-to boken! The ninja-to has a straight blade, square tsuba (hand guard), and is slightly shorter than an actual katana boken. I was a little disappointed but when I used it, I was pretty impressed so I kept it. I just bought an actual ninja-to boken from a local dealer.
