Product Description

CC-4 Features: Allows the user to perform two key leg movements while staying seated in the same location; leg extensions and leg curls. Comes with an easy to use sun dial adjuster which allows the user to increase the range of motion to accommodate as well as determine when resistance is applied. This feature is accessible on both the extension and curl function. Back seat rest can be adjusted forwards or backwards depending on body size. Once in place there is an adjustable thigh support that allows your legs to be held in place during your leg curl exercise. This padded support bar applies pressure on your thighs which will keep your legs firmly in place, allowing your hamstrings maximum performance during your work out.

1. This is a solid addition to the gym. I got a great leg curl workout from this.
2. Same quality as their olympic bench, but better that Weider or Gold's Gym equipment.
3. The build time was over one hour. All the parts were present and accountable for.
4. This unit doesn't use much floor space.
5. The lower pad rolls. This is a first for this type of station and a welcome addition.
6. Touch-up paint included.
7. The upper pads are comfortable.
8. It is heavy, but looks like it will last.

Nice piece at a nice price.

The Valor CC-4 appears to be designed to employ the use of a fair amount of weight due to its thick metal construction. I'm sure this would normally be the case, however, a serious safety flaw exists in the design of this product. When you arrange the product to be used as a leg extension machine, the user has to be careful in the amount of weight they use, otherwise the piece of equipment will tip over forward, as the person extends their legs and the weights, potentially causing serious knee and leg injury to the user, as was the case with me. If this piece of equipment was designed to be fastened to the ground, this problem would not exist. However, there is nothing to indicate that it needs to be fastened to the ground. This piece of equipment was not designed properly. If you compare this product to the "Body Solid GCEC340 Cam Series Leg Ext Curl Machine", both are almost identical in design. However, the support base portion of the Body Solid product, which sits on the ground, has a leg that extends away from the front of the product, so that the product will not tip-over forward and cause harm to the user, when the weight is extended forward during a leg extension. This is a very serious issue and people WILL continue to get hurt if something isn't done to fix this.

thought i'd done this before but I'll go again.Well built easy to put together solid little quad machine. Not using it for my hams. BUT the weight bar needed(s) to be longer. I'm using 50 lb plates and can only get 4 on it. so if your using more than 200 lbs you might want to look elsewhere. You could however, do one leg at a time (allowing you 200 per leg) but the value of this type of machine is to get great form and the benefit of increased output with dual leg use. All in all its a great machine for me.

I needed something to work leg beyond squats and dead lifts, so caughed up the $300 for this leg extension/curl apparatus. It's a sturdy piece of equipment, but a bear to assemble. The instructions are pretty poor and had some bolt numbers mislabelled so i had to disassemble one piece and do it again. Hardest part was attempting to insert the weight arm with two washers and a spring pin. There was no way I was able to get the hole to line up for the pin with both washers in place, so I had to use one and hope it didn't cause too much stress on the arms during usage. May try again later as thing start to wear.

The photo on Amazon shows the weight arm set up for Olympic weights, but it comes equiped with a weight post only useable with standard plates. It also was missing two of the rubber feet. I contacted Valor and to their credit, they sent me the feet and an Olympic plate adapter the next day. The adapter is okay, but is plastic with a recessed steel hex screw to tighten the adapter to the standard post. Steel > plastic, so the screw stripped the threaded plastic right away, and the the adapter spins it's way off the standard post during use and I have to push it back on after every set. The rubber feet and seat handles are a little loose and slip off if you move it around the floor or grip, the handles too hard, I may have to get some adhesive assistance to remedy the adapter, foot and handle issues.

The frame and seat are sturdy and look like they should hold up to a few years home use. The way the equipment is designed, you will not have even resistance through your range of motion. The resistance will be ilght initially and reach its max as the weight arm approaches the horizontal.
