Product Description

Valterra Products, Inc. 3 Volt Fridgemate Inside Air Circulating Fan stops poor air circulation in your small-size RV or boat refrigerator and keeps air moving. Small fan runs well over 30 days on 2 size-D alkaline batteries.

Customer Reviews

This is a great little fan for an icebox or a small fridge.

The motor and fan assembly was broken from the delicate solder connections and was laying loose inside the little cage.
RichR
It works good and seems to do the job as stated in product description.

I have had one of the Valterra A10 refrigerator fans for 8 years now. No issues with reliability. Runs 5 months a year, but I have to replace the (2) "D" batteries every month or so.

The purpose of the fan is to circulate the air in your RV propane refrigerator. Most propane refrigerators do not have any fan or other means to circulate the air, resulting in uneven temperatures inside the box. The fan doesn't move a lot of air, just enough to balance out the interior temperature.

It also speeds up the initial cool down, as well as maintain even temperatures throughout the refrigerator interior. This is especially important if you are in and out of your refrigerator a lot.

I definitely recommend having a refrigerator fan in your RV refrigerator.

This is a great little fan for an icebox or a small fridge. It doesn't move a lot of air, it's just a tiny bit of air that is circulated around the inside of the icebox with this item. It makes just about everything an even temperature in the box and it has been running for a month on the same 2 D batteries. This is excellent, tiny and doesn't make any noise at all!

I have used this fan twice now and can definitely tell a difference with the fridge cooling off much faster and staying cooler through our trip. Great product for the money. Doesn't take up much space.

Works like a charm. REally keeps the DC fridge temps much more even. Will be buying a couple more for my kids colege dorm room fridges.

If you want to reduce the running time of you refrigerator by 20% use one of these fans. The 2 D batteries will last 90 days and the fan will last several years

I read other reviews prior to ordering this item, a number of comments concerning how hard to install/remove batteries.
I had the same experience, after much effort to install first of 2 D cell batteries I cut a piece of 1 in wide ribbon and placed under battery to aid in removal. The second battery was even more difficult to install and I have not tried to remove once installed. The difficulty of install/remove cannot be good for the fan as they need to be replaced rather frequently.

I spend weeks at a time in the desert on rivers and truck camping. I use one of these in each of my coolers armed with NIMH rechargeable D cells. I place each one in a little Tupperware bottom, held in place by a rubber band for a bucket effect so it doesn't sit in a pool of water. The fan is then placed in the bottom near a block of ice (desert rats don't use cubes). This way I can keep ice for a week or so. I can also cool a six pack of beverages ice-cold in an hour. Pretty neat.

I have found that 2 D cells can last for multiple weeks. I have even found my fans half-submerged in water (batteries wet and all) when I wasn't paying attention and there it was, purring away. Note that it moves less than a cubic foot per minute. It does not move a bunch of air, but it is also very quiet.

This product does a good job of circulating air in your RV refrigerator. Even in over 100 degree days it helps maintain even temperatures inside your refrig. It also runs on batteries so is handy to have.
