I have had one of the Valterra A10 refrigerator fans for 8 years now. No issues with reliability. Runs 5 months a year, but I have to replace the (2) "D" batteries every month or so.

The purpose of the fan is to circulate the air in your RV propane refrigerator. Most propane refrigerators do not have any fan or other means to circulate the air, resulting in uneven temperatures inside the box. The fan doesn't move a lot of air, just enough to balance out the interior temperature.

It also speeds up the initial cool down, as well as maintain even temperatures throughout the refrigerator interior. This is especially important if you are in and out of your refrigerator a lot.

I definitely recommend having a refrigerator fan in your RV refrigerator.

This is a great little fan for an icebox or a small fridge. It doesn't move a lot of air, it's just a tiny bit of air that is circulated around the inside of the icebox with this item. It makes just about everything an even temperature in the box and it has been running for a month on the same 2 D batteries. This is excellent, tiny and doesn't make any noise at all!

I have used this fan twice now and can definitely tell a difference with the fridge cooling off much faster and staying cooler through our trip. Great product for the money. Doesn't take up much space.

This product does a good job of circulating air in your RV refrigerator. Even in over 100 degree days it helps maintain even temperatures inside your refrig. It also runs on batteries so is handy to have.

Works like a charm. REally keeps the DC fridge temps much more even. Will be buying a couple more for my kids colege dorm room fridges.

If you want to reduce the running time of you refrigerator by 20% use one of these fans. The 2 D batteries will last 90 days and the fan will last several years

It keeps my fridge cold throughout. Food stays fresher. I recommend this for all rv with fridge. May be an advantage for coolers, too.

Product arrived at my door step with in time said that it would; no damage; was surprised and its smallness; and I have not yet to operate this in my camper frige as I winterized the camper for the season so will test out product next spring when I open it up for the season. I could update this later.

I bought one of these over a year ago and I checked its output once a few months ago. I could literally feel no air on my hand even though the fan was running. I wet my hand and tried again and thought I might have felt a tiny bit of air move. I pitched it, thinking it was defective. I just now bought another (cause I couldn't find an alternative) and if you feel very carefully with a wet hand, you can barely feel air move.

I am either going to find another brand somewhere or I will have to buy a second one of these just to get some actual air movement.

I have to admit that I purchased this item based on its good reviews but I received it in a nearly DOA state. The D batteries it requires are much too large for the device and do not fit properly. I also had to wrap a rubber band around the device to force it to make contact with the batteries. It did work at that point but I don't think it's acceptable to have to rig a brand new product just to make it operate. The casing is VERY cheap plastic and the contacts were already showing signs of corrosion right out of the box. I have several other Valterra products that have been great but this one was a huge letdown. I would avoid this product and seek one that is better quality. I'm returning this to Amazon for a refund.
