This repair takes more time than a normal toilet repair due to the mounting of the valve and removal of the toilet. It took a few flushes to seat the seals. This is because the valve has an up and down handle and it controls the flapper as well as the water seal ball valve. If instructions are followed and you hold up on the handle a few times you will stop the unnecessary water waste.

My second replacement valve died just the same way that the first two did. They dont survive the winters. The weak seam on the hose fitting cracks a pin hole even after winterizing the system. I live in Texas to boot and our winters are not hard.

What I finally did to resolve this issue is to repair it by screwing on a sprinkler F/F pipe coupler fitting with some thread tape for good measure. This will hold the cruddy seam very tightly together. Then you can put the correct hose fitting at the end and you will never have this failure again.

Product was easy to install and worked perfect,When you install this product you should always replace the toilet ring that fits the to the bottom of the toilet.
