5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Knife!!
The knife is made of 1095 High Carbon Steel, so if not taken care of it will rust. It throws some big sparks off of firesteel. The handle is made of micarta and looks beautiful. This is a durable little knife, I have used it to strike firesteel, and baton wood, and it is still as sharp as when I got it. it comes sharp enough to pass the paper test. It is very easy to...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at its pricepoint.
Ok its not a BK14 and you are not paying for one but it is a reasonable little utility knife for the the wife and kids Bug out bag (as a backup utility blade). It's too small to scare anyone but will do most small jobs at hand, the belt clip is too small to fit on a large mens belt ( gun belt) and the clippy thing for a belt loop does not seem like a great way to carry...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little Knife!!, July 25, 2011

This is a durable little knife, I have used it to strike firesteel, and baton wood, and it is still as sharp as when I got it. it comes sharp enough to pass the paper test. It is very easy to sharpen aswell, holds an edge nicely. There are many carry options, you can carry it on a belt loop, clip it to you belt, make it a neck knife, etc. Overall it is a great knife for the price. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome neck knife!, March 21, 2012

this neck knife is simply awesome. I was looking for a neck knife for EDC/food prep/'one knife to rule them all'. This baby fits the bill perfectly. simple, ergonomic, elegant and utilitarian. for 10$ , I feel no hesitation to use it hard, sharpen it every few days and just buy another one when the time comes.
i strongly recommend this product -
also the pocket clip does its job very well and enables the knife to be carried in pocket, on belt, or neck.
excellent creation.

Great knife overall. The steel is nice, but will rust if not taken care of. The micarta handles are wonderful. Great build, and great quality control. A definately recommended knife. Great carry options on the sheath as well. 5 stars!

It's too small to scare anyone but will do most small jobs at hand, the belt clip is too small to fit on a large mens belt ( gun belt) and the clippy thing for a belt loop does not seem like a great way to carry any knife you want to keep ( for long) . You could lash it on with paracord or get a tec lock. Sheath retention is good (wont fall out)but may be a tiny bit loose
My daughters friend wanted one immediately so that is a plus. it can be sharpened pretty easily,it has micarta handles. I believe it's made from the standard Chinese stainless that sharpens fairly well but doesn't have terrific edge retention. It's a trade off but at this price what do you expect sv30, d2 tool steel?

3.0 out of 5 stars 1095 HC, December 8, 2010
This review is from: Benchmark Backpacker (Misc.)
1095 HC is a hi carbon steel which has no corrosion resistant properties. a great price for a carbon steel knife, but it should be coated with epoxy before taken into the elements.
