Great for reflux, spit up and leaky diapers,

Put one of these on top of baby's crib sheet, and when there's a wet spill, just pull it off and throw it in the laundry. Replace it with the other one. This saves you from having to change fitted crib sheets, which is a real pain. These pads are heavy and grippy enough to stay in place under an infant, unlike quilted pads with slippery vinyl backing. I give these as a gift at every baby shower I attend. And here's a tip for bouncy seats: Use one of the smallest pads (I think they are called lap pads), cut a slit in it for the strap to come through, and put it in the bouncy seat to protect it from leaky diapers. If you've ever washed one of those bouncy seat covers, you know what I mean.

These mattress pads worked great! I used them in the crib under the crib sheet to protect the mattress, and they held up well. My son is now 2 and has moved to a twin bed, and these work well under the sheets of that bed (laid width-wise) to protect the mattress from leaky diapers (and future potty training accidents). Plus the 2 pads are a great value for the price, considering how long they've held up! The vinyl backing hasn't even cracked or split after 2 yrs of washing.

Indispensable!,

When my toddler was an infant, someone suggested I get some of these. They turned out to be absolutely indispensible! You lay them on top of the sheet in the crib or bassinette; when the baby does what babies do and you'd otherwise be changing sheets, fighting with crib bumpers and fitted elastic corners and getting hit in the head with the mobile, you just whip off the pad and throw it in the wash. The sheet is saved; your head is saved; your sanity is intact (more or less). When you get to be an old pro, and the stain is dried by the time you get to it, you just flip the pad over (depending what it was, of course) and use the other side--hey, it's waterproof! The other side is still clean. If you have two, layer them in the crib. I buy these for every baby shower I go to now.

We bought these pads when we were potty training our 2 1/2 year old. Even at age five he still has some accidents at night and these pads work great! We slip it under his sheet, but on top of the mattress pad. The pads to not leak through, they hold up to many washings and they are comfortable to sleep on.

I have used these waterproof pads with both of my children (My daughter who is 3 1/2 and my son who is a newborn). They are great for cribs, toddler beds and twin beds. Absorbancy is great for accidents or unexpected sickness in the middle of the night. These pads have saved my children's bedding and mattresses. I could not have gone without them!!

absorbent and waterproof even after 100 washes,

We put the pad in the crib underneath the sheet, to protect the mattress. We cut then in half for pack-n-play, and we cut them in thirds for changing pads on the go.
We also use them when we put the baby on our bed, where she practices rolling and crawling. We often let her lay on the pad naked (without a diaper). All our pads have been washed several times, and they are still fine. Once I accidentally dried three of them on hot, and they look a little ruffled, but they are still functional. I suspect drying them on hot multiple times would destroy them. I don't recommend leaving the baby directly on the pad unattended. I've seen my 6-month old girl stuff the corners of the pad into her mouth.

just ok, not impressed,

after buying, washing and using these pads, i am not that impressed. the soft flannel side seems like it will come apart, almost too fuzzy. i agree, i would not put a young infant on top of this. also, the plastic side is so plastic that my baby sweats as well and would not put her on this side either. so, i use it under the sheet to protect matress and is safer for baby. a young baby could get wrapped up in it accidentally if left on top of sheet for sleeping. i prefer Carter's lap pads. they are not quilted or fuzzy but, they are water proof with both sides made of 100% brushed cotton flannel. you can get them in all sizes big and small. i use them for everything from changing table, to crib and also for diaper changes. they wash great.

I agree that this pad is convienent, but pls. be careful how you use it. Several of the reviews suggested they place their babies on top of the pad, over the crib sheet. I would not suggest leaving the baby unattended while doing this due to the vinyl backing. It could be dangerous for the infant if it were to cover their face. But on the changing table, it is wonderful.

Best Use,

Someone gave these to me as a shower gift with the suggestion of cutting them up for the diaper bag as travel changing pads. It was one of the best tips I ever heard! At home I cut them into 4th's and kept one on my son's changing table at all times and the others in a stack nearby. When he was tiny and had all of those messy diapers I did not have to worry about messing up the table - if there was a problem I would slide out the dirty pad and slip in a clean one. On the road I had them cut in half and kept them in the diaper bag. It was large enough to cover all of the space the baby could reach (a big plus in public bathrooms). Now I always include a pack as part of shower gifts and write up some suggested uses. Without exception I get a call asking where they came from and how to get more!

These pads are awesome. I have 10 of them that I use constantly. I put them over a fitted waterproof pad and under the fitted sheet. When there's an accident or leak with one of my kids, (4 aged 5 and under), it is so easy to just change the sheet without struggling with the fitted mattress pad. These pads have been washed over and over and are in great condition still. They are thin enough to cut easily into convenient sizes and to fit easily in drawers. (If storage space is an issue for you). They are easily used on a crib, twin or full mattress. (I use 2 on the full size).
