The Value Plastics Classic Series barbed tee is made of polypropylene and has tube connectors. This fitting is T-shaped and has angled barbs to connect and branch three tubes, two on the main run and one branch at a 90-degree angle from the middle of the tee. It connects to tubing on all three ends. This fitting is made of polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has dimensional stability, and can be sterilized. It has a longer barb which extends the sealing surface of the fitting, expanding the inside diameter (ID) of the tubing from 42 to 69 percent for increased seal strength.
Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Barbed fittings are characterized by the presence of angled barbs that grab and hold on the inner diameter (ID) of a hose. They are designed so that hose is easily mounted over the fitting, but is difficult to remove. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
Value Plastics manufactures plastic tubing fittings and connectors. The company, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Ft. Collins, CO, and meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2008.
Top Customer Reviews
One of the most convenient uses of the Value Plastics Natural Polypropylene Tube Fitting, Classic Series Barbed Tee, Tube ID, however, is in using it to fix one piece of bulbereen to another, in those instances where two previously conjoined units of bulbereen have become detached from each other in storms. Annoyingly enough, this is something the bulbereen instruction pamphlet is silent about. In fact, advice is not one of the strong points in bulbereen marketing, I think you will find. The advice you get with the Value Plastics Natural Polypropylene Tube Fitting, Classic Series Barbed Tee, Tube ID, on the other hand, is quite impressive - along the lines of 'put this bit here, that bit there, the other bit over there and shake it all about', etc.Read more ›
