3.0 out of 5 stars The heat will only last for a week. March 21, 2011
Color:Gray|Verified Purchase
I bought the ValueRays mouse thinking my days of frozen hands were going to be over with. The heating portion of the mouse only lasted one week. I emailed the company and they told me I had to buy the warranty when I made the purchase to get it fixed. No where does it mention that on the amazon page. So the device pretty much only serves as a mouse now. Funny how no more heat but yet the mouse actually still works.

UPDATE: The company has allowed me to buy a warranty for $15 and they are shipping me a new mouse. The customer service is pretty fast and better than what I really expected. I'm giving this another try because when the mouse did work it was excellent. I just need something that can last from 9-5 and then some for at least a year. I don't care if I have to replace the mouse every year, but every week/month won't work.

3.0 out of 5 stars 1st mouse didn't work. 2nd one works great. October 13, 2010
Color:Gray
I did not purchase the warranty ($10 extra) and the mouse did not work from the minute I plugged it in. It heated up nicely but the mouse would not function. Without the extra cost, there is NO warranty, not even if it NEVER works! There is no way to even contact the vendor! They don't give any phone number, only email. So I emailed them and got NO RESPONSE! So beware, they can ship you a piece of garbage and you are stuck with it, which is what happened to me.

Revision :
After I tried another email address, they did get back to me promptly and sent me another mouse. However I had to pay shipping both ways and they insist the original mouse worked fine which it did not. I now have 2 of them but the 1st one still does not work. The 2nd one is wonderful and works great. It keeps my hand warm all day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the warm mouse; wish the scroll wheel worked December 1, 2010
By pdxsk8r
Color:Gray
I been using the heated mouse and mousepad for about a year and having the warmth is really great. My hands were constantly uncomfortably cold from using the mouse and keyboard in a work environment and this allows me to get my work done much more enjoyably.

The mouse pointer works well however the scroll dial does not. Turning the scroll wheel causes the scrolling to often go the opposite way and then jump all over the place. I wish it worked because I love using the wheel + Ctrl key to zoom in and out. I also wish the mouse was available in a larger size as I have large hands. However even with these complaints, the warmth makes it worth it.

If cold hands aren't an issue for you, this isn't a good product for you. But if you suffer from cold hands when using the computer and don't mind the issues I mentioned, I would recommend this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Warm! December 29, 2010
Color:Gray
This little mouse perfoms adequately. It's certainly cheaply made, with an incomplete paint job. As a mouse it functions just fine, if a bit minimalist. (There are no forward or back buttons, etc) It's optical, which helps a lot. The cord is a bit short, which is frustrating for me. I can't speak to the longevity of the product, as I just started using it. I wanted it for it's heating function, and it does that fairly well so far. There are two settings for heat, LOW and HIGH. I use the HIGH setting and find it to be great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my hand warm! June 9, 2013
Color:Gray
I am always on the computer, obviously. I work on the web site a lot and keep things up to date as much as possible. I have tons of posts to make and sometimes I just like to browse around on the rare chance on me having the time to do so. Before we rearranged our room again my computer was in direct way under the air vent in our room. So anytime my hand was on the mouse it would turn to ice and would freeze - no joke. The rest of me would be fine, but my hand would be cold and I hated it. Thankfully things have been rearranged though and I don't have that issue anymore. Also, I was able to receive a Heated Mouse to check out, which is actaully perfect for people who were or currently still are, having the same issue I was having!

Honestly I wasn't too sure of this product at first. I mean a heated mouse?! I never heard of one prior to now. While I typically use a wireless mouse for all my work, I plugged in this mouse for review and still am currently using it. The mouse plugs in via USB and after a minute of my computer needing to take to recognize it, it works great. It has a switch so I can adjust the settings of off, warm, or hot. When it's plugged in the scroll wheel on the mouse lights up red. Everything works great as a normal mouse, moves smoothly across the mouse pad and all. The only difference is that it heats up and keeps your hand warm, which is totally awesome for people like me who are on the computer frequently and get cold hands. Of course, this will also be great come winter when you're under the blanket on the computer as well.

Needless to say I am absolutely in love with this product. It works great, and it keeps your hand warm. In fact, I originally had it on the high setting thinking it would hardly warm up and I had to adjust it down to the low setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Value Rays warm mouse July 3, 2010
Color:Gray
My brother got me one for a plug in on my MacBook, and I love it! Beyond only having an Apple touchpad anyway (which means more buttons on the mouse and faster scrolling), the mouse keeps your hand a little warmer (not hot) and helps reduce strain on the hand when doing hours of computer work with spreadsheets. I like it a lot, and bought ones for both my dad and his girlfriend. They seem pretty stoked on them too. A great product- I'm surprised nobody thought of it sooner!
