This is an exciting book - A genre-bending vampire story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and doesn't let go. The characters are fleshed out and surprising, and the story holds great twists.
I heartily recommend this to anyone and everyone interested in futuristic stories or those interested in vampire tales!

VAMP is not your average vampire story. High-tech futuristic operations used by vampires to survive as well as the humans' to annihilate them is incredibly imaginative! With an unexpected twist at every turn, nothing is predictable! Christopher Caldwell is a talented and highly imaginative writer, making you cheer, laugh at, and even loathe vampire and human characters alike. VAMP is much more than just another vampire story. I was hooked from beginning to end!

Bought this book based on the 5 star reviews from 3 readers - high expectations - but once I got into it.....disappointed in the poor writing style and the errors in punctuation - OK, maybe that's nitpicking, but come on....I find it detracts from the story. The plot and the ideas are good ones.....but the writing style is rather juvenile. I guess I am spoiled by better authors - like China Mieville, Ian McDonald...I wish this guy had a better writing style as he does have great ideas and it was Sooooooo promising when it started out!

Without ruining anything or going into too much detail, you simply MUST read this book. Completely unexpected. The author throws more twists, more turns, more everything at you. In short, this book "prods buttock!"

One of the best vampire novels I've read in recent times. Great writing and exciting plot twists. Keeps you turning the pages - I couldn't put it down until I finished it! Wonderfully developed characters that I hope are continued in future stories. Chris Caldwell is a dynamic writer and I look forward to future books from this talented and creative author.
