I LOVED it!!! Grouchy Conner finally gets his mate! I loved Connor and Marille together.

As normal Kerrelyn made me laugh throughout the book. But she also made me cry not far into the book, if you have been following the series you will know why I cried when you get to it in the book.

I love the sarcastic humor in all of Kerrelyn's books =)

I can't wait for Gregori's story to be told!

Connor has been getting crankier and crankier with each vamp that has fallen in love. He had secrets from his past that kept him locked in the dark hole of his past always pulling him down further. He also has been disobeying orders, such as now when he teleports off by himself to find Casimir instead of waiting for help like he was told.

Marielle is an angel who has just lost her wings for disobeying AGAIN, Connor finds her and tries to save her. Only after Shanna touches her at Romatech they realize she is not just any angel but perhaps the angel of death.

Connor has never seen such a beautiful woman and while he waits for decisions from Roman and Angus at Howard's cabin, he wonders how he will be able to keep his hands off this angelic being.

Being human is very odd for Marielle and caring for her is way different for Connor.

Good things happen in Connor's story but also a few bad things. We see a few old characters becoming new vampires and we lose an old friend.

I read the whole story in one sitting and was so engrossed from beginning to end. This is my favorite of the series and thought it was so fitting and cool that Ms. Sparks would make Connor's HEA an angel. This book surpassed my expectations and will order the book in hardcopy to add to my collection of must have books. Thanks Ms. Sparks for a fantastic story!
