I was looking forward to this game as I love these type of search games...but this was waaaay too short...I completed the game in less than a day. The items are pretty easy to locate, so there was little challenge. The story line is a bit sappy, too. I am going to give this to a friend's nine yr old...it will be perfect for her level of gaming.

I love these types of games, but this one was too easy and I completed it in one evening. I would recommend this for someone under 10 years old. It's why I didn't give it a higher rating.

Excellent graphics. Scenes do repeat. Good story. You can erase your data! This is the best of the latest bunch of seek and find games I've played. The game is pretty short but still worth the money.

This was a fun game. It was very easy to figure out and you can play out the entire game quickly, which is kind of a draw-back. But, seeing as a belong to a group that "swaps-out" games, I don't view it as a waste of money.

I have only played a few hidden object games, but this one falls at the bottom of my list.
This game can be completed in under 4 hours, and the story is confusing with no resolution. The game details state that objects will have random placement for "endless replayability". However, it does not seem to be random item Placement, it seems to be random item Selection, just like every other hidden object game on the market. There are relatively few items in each picture, and it is quite easy to remember the general location of a few of the items. The worst problems with this game however, are the "puzzle" attempts, and the localization. The "puzzle" features require placing one of the found objects into a scene in the right location. Frequently, the location makes no sense (e.g. using a key on a featureless pillar when there are doors in the scene). It is generally necessary to save a hint for the puzzles. Secondly, the localization to English does not seem to have been made with American audiences in mind. We find the term "Playing Dice" used for one die; "Prybar" instead of crowbar; "Paralyzer" for what appears to be some type of taser. And why does anyone choose to include a "Fruit Picker"? Is this a common tool for the technical audience? Perhaps these terms are regional, but I am apparently from the wrong region in that case. Overall, I would recommend this game as a rental if you have already played every other hidden object game on the market.

I was overall disappointed. It was very dark in a lot of scenes and the objects were extremely hard to find. Some of the objects didn't look like they were supposed to(like a wrench looked liked a a line with a slight curve in it)and the objects were too blended in making it almost impossible to find some(and I am a very experienced Hidden Object games for PC and DS.)
I gave it 1 star for the storyline and 1 star for at least trying to make it work on DS. Finally it was way too short!! Not worth the money at all.

I purchased this game when it first came out. I took it to work and ended up finishing it in less than 5 hours. Mind you that I was working and playing the game. The items and rooms are very repetative. Each hidden item senerio is timed but there is more than enough time to find each item. The story line I found very cheesey and didn't care for. Needless to say this will be traded in for another game.

I really enjoyed this game. The only downfall for me was that I'm very quick at these games so I completed it very fast. The game was in excellent condition as was the packaging it had arrived in. The time of arrival was very prompt.

I would probably think more highly of this game if I hadn't started it right after playing Murder in Venice, but all I can say is, "Son, I am disappoint." The graphics are lovely, I'll give it that. I love the way the hints are structured--that you begin each level with a set number and can add to it. And the plot is really interesting, but the very abrupt ending is a definite disappointment and the gameplay time is WAY too short. I mean, Murder in Venice is short, but you don't notice because of all the minigames and side quests (like collecting the chess set), and it has a pretty high replay value. Vampire Diaries, I played it once, tried to play it a second time but just got so bored and gave up. Honestly? Buy Murder in Venice instead. You'll get many, many more hours out of it for essentially the same price. |
