Editorial Reviews

The fanged and fabulously succulent daughter of Count Dracula has returned once again from beyond the grave. Dracool is her name, and seducing gorgeous women is her game. Dracool desires only the choicest lesbians, and to that end, she requires the service of the nerdy Eugene to deliver the hot’n’writhing goods to her lair. Eugene is skilled at eavesdropping on ultra-sexy female encounters of the naughtiest kind, whether its two curious college girls sharing their young, supple bodies or a trio of uninhibited beauties who know exactly what they want, yet he comes away empty-handed from each voyeuristic interlude. But Dracool gives Eugene a more pressing task - to hunt down and destroy Wally Van Helsing - great-great grandson of the infamous vampire hunter and her #1 nemesis. Amidst the sighs and moans of voluptuous babes in the throes of ecstasy, Dracool, Eugene, and Wally face off against one another. Who will be the victor, who the vanquished, and who the vixen?

This film is the long-awaited sequel to VAMPIRE'S SEDUCTION, one of Seduction Cinema's first releases, and one of my personal favorites. John Bacchus is back in the director's chair, and stars Mia Copia (Dracoola) and John Fedele (Wally) return as well. Added to the cast are the hilarious Zach Snygg, and an all-star SC lineup including Darian Caine, Misty Mundae, AJ Khan, and (the now retired) Katie Jordon. Sounds like a winner, doesn't it? Bacchus is responsible for all my favorite SC films of the past, and I suppose it's unfair of me to expect so much from a movie like this, but I really was disappointed. One indication shoulda been the fact that this movie was made three years ago and it's just now getting released. VAMPIRE VIXENS is basically the same movie as VAMPIRE SEDUCTION in terms of plot, with Dracoola's new flunky Eugene (Snygg) spying on lesbians instead of Wally (who is now the head of a major corporation). There were several funny moments in the film, thanks to Copia, Fedele and Snygg, who are all hilarious of course. But in my view, given what I've seen the participants do in the past, I think VAMPIRE VIXENS under-achieves. Maybe it was the long wait, maybe I expected more from the huge pool of talent involved. The movie is funny, and the skin quotient is high, but don't expect anything bigger or better than the first one. Plus, the extras are really lacking.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pretty hilarious sequel to the awful Vampire's Seduction, January 22, 2006
This review is from: Vampire Vixens (DVD)
Initially, I found Vampire Vixens to be an utterly stupid disaster, but I must admit that it really grew on me as I went along. This movie is absolutely hilarious. In this sequel to The Vampire's Seduction, Dracoola has been resurrected by an utter moron who becomes her Renfield. Dracoola wants Wally Van Helsing, who destroyed her in the first movie with a garlic sandwich, dead and she sends Renfield to do the job. After Dracoola's demise, unimaginably geeky Wally was freed of the Van Helsing curse and became a brilliant scientist and businessman; naturally, once Dracoola returns, the curse also returns in full force. Van Helsing's constant whining and whimpering is annoying, but Renfield's every move cracks me up. It's especially fun to watch Dracoola browbeat the guy for his utter stupidity. I can't complain too much about the ladies in this film, either, since it brings together three of my favorites in Darrian Caine, Misty Mundae, and the wonderful Katie Jordan. Vampire Vixens has no redeeming value and is what would generally be considered an awful film, but it you have a taste for vampires, lesbians, and moronic humor Vampire Vixens is well worth a look.

5.0 out of 5 stars Misty Missing?, July 2, 2009
This review is from: Vampire Vixens (DVD)
Great Flick, but not enough Misty.

My favorite has always been A.J.Kahn, but Misty is the one that led me to her. There is lots of A.J. here (and Darian), but only a little Misty.
