Wonderful
The illustrations are in b&w. The text is brilliant: an approach with great focus and admirable historicity which does not forget aesthetics -- the jaw-dropping aethetic achievement that is this altarpiece. Hardback with dusjacket. 154 pp. 1.25 pounds. End Notes, Bibliography, Index.

no color illustrations
Seems to be a well written book on the topic; but there are only black and white illustrations, except for one folded color plate.
