About the Author

Van Gogh Museum
The largest selection of what has survived of Van Gogh’s work is in the collection of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The collection includes more than 200 paintings, with such renowned masterpieces as The Potato Eaters and Still Life with Bible from 1885, Self-Portrait As an Artist from 1887, The Yellow House and The Bedroom from 1888, Sunflowers from 1889, and Blossoming Almond Tree from 1890. The collection also includes about 500 drawings and 700 letters by Van Gogh, as well as works by several of his famous predecessors, contemporaries and friends.

I hate to say this, but this is literally the most frustrating game I've ever played. In this game you will NOT find "matching pairs of typical works by Van Gogh" as the description advertises. Each "pair" is either (best case scenario) the sketch of the painting and then the painting or (worst case scenario) some text from a letter written by Van Gogh and a painting from the same era. There are two keys to tell you which ones "match", so if you want to play with more than two people you are out of luck. Don't do this to yourself. I would return it if I could.
