I am not an artistic person at all. You would never want me on your team in pictionary; however, the painting from Famous Arts Kits made me feel like a true professional artist. I purchased multiple paintings from this company, but started on "Poppies" first. It has detailed instructions and the picture is outlined, so it's virtually impossible to mess up. The end result was magnificent! It was more than what I could ever ask for! My friends couldn't even believe that I painted it! It's even worthy to be displayed in the house. Everything you need comes in the kit. The canvas is on card board, but is fine epecially due to the steal of the price. Just frame it and no one would ever know. I definitely recommend this to everyone, especially those who are artistically challenged like me!

I just received the Van Gogh Poppies Acrylic Painting Kit today and opened the package it came in to discover two big disappointments. First, the canvas is glued to a piece of corrugated cardboard, which of course isn't perfectly flat itself. I certainly understand the need to do something with the canvas so it remains flat during the painting process, but corrugated cardboard is a very poor choice, it being CORRUGATED and all. And the gluing job was done poorly, so in addition to the bumps and ridges resulting from the corrugations, there are puckers as well. And second, even if I did somehow manage to peel my finished work of art off the cheap and lumpy piece of cardboard without ruining it, the canvas on which the image is drawn is exactly as large as the image, meaning there's no space around the edges of the image to allow the finished product to be stretched around a frame, as one might reasonably hope to do with painted canvas. So after you've done all that painting, you're going to really be at a loss for a nice way to display the thing. I would not recommend this product.

Another great kit from Famous Artist Kits,
This review is from: Van Gogh POPPIES Acrylic Painting Kit 12" x 16"
I just bought some more of the Famous Art Kits as Christmas gifts, but there was one new one I hadn't done so I gave it to myself. The kits have been redesigned and the canvas is now mounted on foam core- it looks really good and will frame up nicely. They are also now nicely packaged and ready to wrap. When I did Poppies it was the latest from Famous Artist Kits- I've done them all and can't wait till they come out with more. Poppies was a fun kit and the painting turned out beautiful. There are no little numbers on the canvas, but you don't need them. The instructions are great and your finished painting looks like a real painting, not a paint by number. I'm getting all five of the ones I've finished framed and then using them to decorate my entryway. I highly recommend all their kits.
