It's not actually Dave...it's Ralph!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Van Halen-Medley-Eruption (Audio CD)
This CD is performed by the enormously popular Los Angeles based Van Halen tribute band, the Atomic Punks. Eruption has a raw, produced-in-the-basement quality that suits the material just fine. This is a fun CD to own and a must have for any VH fan.

I had eyed this cd for months before finally breaking down and picking it up. My only downside is that I should have purchased it so much sooner! This is not Van Halen performong, but the cover band does one hell of a job coming close. This is just a really solid CD from start to finish with my fave being "I'm the one". Beat it is hilarious! If you like Van Halen - buy it. If you're an aerobics or spin instructor this CD will give you a plethora of VH songs you can use.
The liner notes are in Japanese for the most part, but to be expected. You will want to play this CD very loud and very often. Until VH gives us that new disc next year, this will help ease the pain just a little!

I Don't Feel Like David Lee Roth,

He sure sounds like the real David Lee Roth. This Medley of Van Halen Songs puts a new spin on the classics. Any Van Halen fan would love this. The last track Beat It (Michael Jackson's) is a riot. This album will make you laugh as well as give you the urge to jump up and dance.

Not the Van Halen you're used too ...,

Take 1 part David Lee Roth singing the old hits, 1 part digital synththesizer, and 1 part DJ. Mixed heavily and you've just created "Van Halen - The Medley". It's old Van Halen, but with a hip-hop backbone to it. All of the songs are from the early years (1978 ~ 1984), but mixed back-to-back for your listening enjoyment. It's not for the VH pure-ist, but rather for those looking for something else. The CD was mastered and mixed quite well, with smooth transition between songs. (Yes, this is a non-stop mix of VH songs) Due to it's Japanese printing, the liner notes are written in Japanese, which is a shame as Japanese liners usually contain LOTS of band information. I give this CD a 4 star review because it's the best of the Van Halen remixes I've heard yet.
