3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but too much polyester for the cotton.
Received in a timely and well-packaged manner. Unfortunately, I would have preferred a greater cotton to polyester ratio in the fabric. Florida is warm and polyester tends to get hot and uncomfortable. If this is what "poplin" means, they should have made it clear, for the benefit of those of us not up on the lingo.

A cycle through the washer, and I hang them on a hanger while they are still wet and allow them to air dry--when they are dry, I tumble them for a few minutes in the dryer to allow the minimal wrinkles to fall out--no ironing! Color stays vibrant and fabric stays crisp. Great value for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shirt, kind of shiny, October 29, 2007
I am a bartender and needed to find some new black dress shirts for my uniform. This one stays nice looking through my shift, and keeps a nice crease from my dry cleaner. I was looking for more of a plain black shirt though and didn't realize that this one has pinstripe details on it and is kind of silky shiny. I prefer the other shirt I bought at the same time. While I liked this one, for my needs I would recommend the Arrow Wrinkle Free Satin Twill Dress Shirt- Point Collar

5.0 out of 5 stars FABULOUS and Great variety of sizes, February 17, 2010
My husband has an 18 neck but needs a 32/33 sleeve and these shirts come in this size!! Most 18 size necks come in 34/35 sleeves and that's it. JC Penney used to have their shirts in the shorter sleeve, but no more. VH shirts wash well and when dried slightly and hung up - no wrinkles. I bought 6 of them.

I really like this shirt. Fit is perfect, looks great, and truly is wrinkle free. Just take it out of the dryer and hang it up. I own a few of these now and love them all!

3.0 out of 5 stars shirt review, May 31, 2011
I bought this shirt which was supposed to have a collar of 18 1/2" which is my normal collar shirt size. I had difficulty buttoning it and after wearing for an evening it left a red ring around my neck which burned b/c it was irrated. In order to wear it again I may have to move the collar button. If possible maybe you can replace it with a 19" collar with 32/33 sleeves in almond color. Other than the collar problem I liked the shirt.
Look forward to your reply.

5.0 out of 5 stars top of the line Dress Shirt, May 4, 2011
This review is from: Van Heusen Men's Wrinkle Free Poplin Solid Shirt (Apparel)
IMHO....this Van Heusen shirt is one of the top of the line dress shirts...as a retired professional, I wore a dress shirt and tie to work for decades and this was my favorite dress shirt brand, style, fabric, etc. Poplin, non button down collar, long sleeve. Well made almost always, I have found this shirt however made in various countries, Vietnam, Honduras, etc. Wish it was made in USA but I guess I don't get that wish. The shipping box that the merchant mailed the shirt in was poorly taped, about 1/4 crushed and tape loose on bottom, corner lid ripped open (shipped via UPS). So either they need to man up their boxes or start loosing shirts and customers. The shirt inside was wrapped really well in clear cellophane and was not damaged in any way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Van Heusen Poplin Shirt, October 6, 2010
I was looking for a shirt that would fit my slender frame with long arms and came across this one by Van Heusen. I have a difficult time finding shirts with a 36/37 sleeve length along with a 15.5 inch neck size. I ordered this one and received it in a very short time. I like the cotton polyester blend in this poplin fabric. It is very smoooth and looks good after several hours of wearing. It washes up just fine and I just put it into the dryer and take it out afterwards. It is truly an essentially wrinkle free shirt. The buttons are sewed on well and I've had no problems with them. The shirt has sewn in collar stays which have kept it straight and fresh looking. I bought the black color and it has held up well so far to several washings with no fading. It is not a tailored fit shirt but it still works pretty well on my fairly straight and slender frame. It should fit well on the standard sized frame. Seven button front with a single button cuff that has the option of a loose or tighter fit. I highly recommend this shirt and will purchase another if the need arises.

I am 6'4", 220 lbs. This shirt is SHORT. I had to return all of these Van Heusen shirts b/c they all run too short.
