These projects seem to be minimal, which is good if that is what you are looking for. I would be embarrassed to use these as a "science project" for a grade, personally. The purpose of the projects seem VERY basic (example: "To demonstrate that matter takes up space."). Personally, I'd rather spend my money on a book that has more "meat".

We bought this book to use as an alternative to TV-filled weekends. So far, so good! The projects are well written and easy to follow. This is just one reason she is a very popular children's science author. The book is well written and contains interesting, age-appropriate topics for students to explore. We spent the first few days trying to narrow our choices to just a few to explore first!

We're a homeschool family, and part of a large support group. Once monthly we teach mini-science lessons for the younger youth and I think we'll find this book to be a fabulous resource for this as well as for future science fairs. (Recommend to homeschool as well as public school families.)

This is an excellent resource for any science teacher. It can be used for demonstrations or hands-on learning as well as help your students who might wait until the last minute. The experiments can be adapted so they are age-appropriate. This is a great book!
