About the Author
About the Author Paul Karr (atomev@aol.com) is a prize-winning journalist and the author of more than a dozen travel books. While making a career of writing about people and places, he has divided his time among the U.S., Canada, and Europe, but still maintains that British Columbia is one of the most wonderful and powerful places he's seen on Earth to date; he vows to continue returning time and again. His other interests include screenwriting, songwriting, hiking, and golf. Martha Coombs, who assisted in the research for this book, is a singer, writer, cook, and translator. An expert in obscure '70s and '80s music trivia, she says her favorite thing about Vancouver and Victoria is their natural beauty, which recalls her roots in Maine and Sweden.
