My husband bought me this mug for Christmas and this morning when I was washing it before the first use, I noticed this warning on a sticker on the bottom:

"WARNING: The materials used as colored decorations on the exterior of this product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. THIS WARNING APPLIES TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ONLY."

BTW, according to the EPA, lead in surfaces that touch hot or acidic liquids are the most likely to leach (contaminate your food/drink). The design reaches the top of the mug, and "Wonder Woman" is also painted inside the mug. The same paint is on the inside and outside of the cup.

We have two small children ... no way am I going to use this product or let them use it. Honestly, I don't even want it in the house. We threw away the packaging, but hopefully Amazon or the manufacturer will take it back since it contains a POISON.

This mug is larger than I amticipated. The pic and the verbage are great and it is great for coco, coffee or simply a collector's piece.

The Mugs look wounderful, and the paint job is very nice looking as well.
