Only 1 good one per box,

These are great reeds with an amazing lifetime, but whenever i buy a box i only get like two good ones a box. that is to say, great sounding. If you are a beginning student this won't matter. but in high school, if i have to pay $26 for 2 reeds that i actually like...not so cool. These r great for marching though cause u can beat them up cause the bad ones dont sound good to begin with

I just started learning the alto sax and figured I try a #3 reed, but found out that the #2 or #2.5 is better for a beginner. The product was fine it was really me.

These are recommended from the band director. They are much more expensive at our local music store. This is a great product and a great price on Amazon.

I wouldn't switch after so many repeat orders. I've tried getting cheaper ones for my boy but it just isn't the same to him.

These are very good reeds the only brand of reeds i ever use. It gets the first note out fantastically. I highly recommend these reeds. When i got this is the mail however the box was a little bented but none of the reeds were ruined though.

I used a vandoren reed to play for one of my concerts, and was impressed by the quality of the reed for its meager price($20.47). However, after the concert, I was very disappointed to find that the reed had chipped. Even though I only played for about an hour or two the reed looked like I had spent a month on it.

Best Reeds Ever!,

These reeds are great. The only kind I will use. Sent in individually wrapped, temperature controlled packages that make the first notes sound amazing! I love them! They last a long time and are very resistant to cracks and chips.

In my experience, Vandorens are about the most consistent and dependable reeds out there. You just don't see furry surface cuts or strange-looking wood grain on a Vandoren. I also like that they're individually sealed at the factory and in plastic sleeves that keep them from warping. As an earlier reviewer said, some reeds are always better than others within the same box. It has always been thus with any manufacturer. An old adage is, in any box of 10, one or two will be excellent for performance, two or three are good enough for practicing .. and the rest you sell to your students. Speaking of selling, buying reeds by the box always beats paying $5 or so for individual reeds at retail stores.
