One of the Greatest anime ever......, December 20, 2002
By A Customer
Many anime has been made and shown throughout the world. Some has climbed the summit of being the greatest anime series ever mad, and some have not. Well, Vandread is one of those who has reached that summit.Being an Asian, it's easier to understand a character's feelings and espressions. But, that shouldn't stop a non-Asian to watch this. With great plot and character-development, the series evolved to become understandable and humorous. Not to mention the stunning 3D and CGI effects being used to crete the surrounding area of the universe. Being separated by two races by two different planets, Meger is controlled by the women whereas Talark is ruled by the men. The unability of reason between the two races result in a series of confrontations. A group of female pirates made their way out to escape from Meger and 'help' them to fight against the men. Soon, the women pirates capture three men from the losing party as well as their mothership. Unfortunately, by doing so, there were stranded 250 days apart from Meger. In the ship itself, confrontations between the three men and the pirates continued... The quest to return home was made complicated by the Earth with the operation 'Harvest' and everyone onboard the mothership have to co-operate to stop this from happening. At the same time, feelings began to be shared between a man, Hibiki Tokai and a girl, Dita. Together with Jura and team leader Meia, they form one of the greatest fleet in the universe. The music in the series are especially good, with 'TRUST' as the opening song. If you have nothing else to do during the weekend and in need for some family time with children or by entertaining yourself, enjoy this. You're sure not be disappointed! ...
