This is a tragic shame that no one knows about Vanessa the way we know about so many average gospel artists. The fact that I am the first one writing a comment on this project proves my point. Vanessa Bell Armstrong can make shivers go up and down your spine everytime she opens her mouth. This woman's voice is so annointed and spirit-filled. I remember bopping to Vanessa's rendition of " Walk With Me" when I was six years old. Now that I am a woman, I have never forgotten her. I always believed that Vanessa deserves more recognition for her unbelievable talent. She is a Grammy-deserving wonder!!!! Some of my personal favorites are " Peace Be Still"," Nobody But Jesus", and "Walk With Me".

Yes,I'm the one Vanessa Bell Armstrong is talking about in the "Desire Of My Heart" Live cd {The Classics (Nobody But Jesus,'Real' & Peace Be Still) songs;
It would have added that extra boost to the cd if my little something was on the cd,but it was replaced by "Oil Of God" you all know who the writter is on that one,something that makes you say uhm,but I'm not going to be bad today,I'll let God do His thing on that issue like "Always"!!!

I listened to these songs as a little girl with my mother and recently added it to my gospel collection. Vanessa's voice is a gift and she never misses a note. I can listen to her all day. My all time favorite is Peace Be Still.

Right now VBA is going thru a trail,she & her favorite God~child / Producation Manger Destin Dorothy are like jelly fish without each other!!!
There are some mean evil people in the world that hate to see the two of them doing very well with each other,they jell together writing songs etc.!!!
VBA has another cd out called "SING TO GLORY" an oldie but Goodie,she need not re~mix any of her old stuff,just get with DD who is willing to produce her next cd,who has a ton of song all ready wrote!!!
Vanessa needs to obey God and not man,forget that John Prince Kee ever was in her life!!!

Vanessa is astounding. My first CD by here was "Desire of My heart". many people wonder why she never won a grammy or is not in the mainstream. I personally am glad that she is not, I left the church years ago b/c of personal reasons, but mainstream artists present nothing to me, b/c I am not sure if they are singing from teh heart or the wallet, but this lady got me through a very difficult time in my life!! I listen to her CD when I get to work in the mornig to help me deal with the day to day rigor of the job adn she never fails me!!!! And that is reward enough for me!!!

Vanessa Bell Armstrong. There is no way I can described the way her songs motivate me and keep me grounded in the lord. Everytime I play her CD I cry. I love her. I love her music, and her voice. When I listen to her sing, I feel like I'm being touched by an angel. This Women Is The Best!!! The CD is the Greatest!!! I'm on Amizon right now, because I played the CD so much it fell apart. It doesn't even play any more. Anyone who buys this CD is going to fall in love with it. I know I did. My all time favorite is Nobody but Jesus,Any You Bless, and Walk With Me. If you don't have it. GET IT!!!!!!!!

It is a shame that artist like Vanessa Bell Armstrong Can't get a record deal these days. I think gospel music is trying to market thier artist like the world does. They are looking for the cute girls and boys so that record sales can increase, and they can market the album in other genre's like r&b. Im sorry if you don't agree but this is what I'm seeing. I don't like all this music they recording today. Im just one person in a big world, but that is my opinion. If vanessa Bell wants to come back in gospel, this is what she needs to do. Get Donald Lawrence to produce an album for her with song writers like Bishop Eric McDaniels, out of the Bronx, New York. His church is called The Lord's Church. His music is on Hezekiah walker's albums. These two individuals will really help her. Thomas Whitefield was a awesome producer and songwriter that many years ago brought Vanessa bell Armstrong TO HER NEXT LEVEL OF SUCCESS. Unfortunelty, he died early. But I feel if she does this, it will work. She has paved the way for many of these artist today, but apparently they weren't listening to her. Thank You Vanessa, and Tramaine Hawkins for the good early years. Donald Lawrence would take Vanessa's old material and re-record it. It would be AWESOME!!!
