I am usually really hard on equipment and cases. So far I have had no problems with the case. It has performed as I had hoped it would. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to protect a computer or other fragile equipment on a daily basis.

Love this item. Very strong and light weight.Has a lot of room inside for extras.Perfect for my college age daughter. Accidents happen so if she drops it I know the lap top is safe. Plus she can lock it.I am considering one for my self.

I bought this based on friend's face-to-face ravings about aluminum cases they used for their PDAs, had just purchased a new laptop and wanted a good attractive home for it. I am pleased with the quality of the casing and its interior layout for holding important papers, my power pack, a portable mouse, a very slim MP3 player, a clipboard, and my 15" laptop.

The real test came when the strap disconnected and the case fell to ground from my shoulder: the laptop and its contents did not appear to absorb any shock whatsoever. The aluminum casing is a much sturdier option than some of the thinner material alternatives I considered. NONETHELESS, as sturdy as it is, this was due to the way the strap connects to the case (plastic connector) -- the connection isn't very trustworthy - when it almost happened again, I removed it. Since then, I'm happy with it, but regardless, I am subtracting a half star for this.

Also, it allows you to protect entry with a six-digit code like some of the briefcases. I love this feature and it is one reason I bought it; however, on my purchased case, the inner digit rolls loosely on the spindle on each side, so I am subtracting another half star.

All in all a great case - great care seemed to go into design and manufacturing for the exterior and the interior. It is questionable if corners were cut on the design or installation of the combination locks and strap connector.

I bought the used case from this seller because in the description of the used product it was written "very good" state. I'm very disapointed with this seller because I received a product with a lot of scratches (that cannot be fixed!!!). If I knew that the case was so damaged by so many scratches I would pay $20 more for a new case from other seller.
This product should be offered for free and even that I doubt if somebody would want that.
