I enjoy this 2 volumes soft Yaoi with its well told emotional content and appealing characters., April 9, 2008
This review is from: Vanilla Volume 2 (v. 2) (Paperback)
I finished both volumes in one sitting and really enjoy this soft Yaoi. Vol 2 has 2 stories. The first one concludes the angsy romance between Morio and Saeki as our persistent, vulnerable and devoted student finally gets his aloof and arrogant teacher. I like Saeki's character. He is just my type of cool seme. Think Eiri Yuki from Gravitation and Reiji from Love Mode. The only thing I find annoying is the translation reference to teacher instead of just sticking to sensei.
The second story is equally engaging and well told. This one is on Nakajima, the promiscuous and flamboyant gay student, as he finally meets his match in Saeki's housekeeper who by all appearance seems so straitlaced and proper. But appearance is deceiving as the housekeeper has his own emotional baggage. Their story is a well done one-shot but I would have preferred there to be more sex in this one as these 2 men are just that type. Still a really good one too.
Strongly recommend this 2 volumes soft Yaoi for fans who appreciate emotional romances in their Yaoi, with interesting characters.

An enjoyable manga, March 28, 2008
This review is from: Vanilla Volume 2 (v. 2) (Paperback)
This manga is a little serious, but good. Vanilla 2 continue the story of the first volume and the final plus the 2 chapters of Nakajima are entertaining. Maybe, the manga could dissapoint to all of those who are looking someone more "hard", but who know the Yamakami sensei's work agree with me that it is worth reading.
