A Psychological Roller Coaster Ride!!!!!!!,
By
This review is from: Vanished: Maggie McKenzie Mystery (Hardcover)
This is the first of a new series for Lynn Gardner, after her most popular jewel series. This will be a very popular series as well with Maggie McKenzie being a feisty heroine. Maggie lands her first job and assignment at a newspaper in San Buenaventura, Calif and sets forth on a roller coaster ride seeking clues to the disappearance of a young girl who could be her twin sister!!!!!!Maggie gets help along the way from a dashing Psychologist. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery to curl up with.

Couldn't Put It Down,

My mother-in-law recommends a lot of LDS fiction, and this is a favorite. Good mix of mystery and new love. I can't wait for the sequel!

I love this book! I got to "see" many historical sights that I haven't seen yet. Not a book that you can easily put down - you want to keep reading and reading and reading. The suspense is great - what a great mystery! I can't wait until Lynn Gardner writes a follow up this one!!

Almost good,

This is a book that could have been very good, but it stops just short. The characters frequently do and say things that just don't ring true. For instance, the characters often kiss the cheeks of people they just met; that might be okay if it were set in Europe, but these are small towns in California and Idaho. Also, the plot gets a little ridiculous (spoiler warning) unless you believe that twins can use mind control on each other. I really wanted to like it, but it kept irritating me. If you like this genre, try Betsy Brannon Green and Jeffrey S. Savage instead.
