The Best Soundtrack for a TV Series,
By Jonathan (London, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Vanity Fair: Music From The BBC TV Series (Audio CD)
Not much to say other than this rather avant-garde soundtrack for a period piece works wonderfully. This brassy, occasionally grosteque sound which Murray Gold brilliantly composed is enjoyable to listen to, but also complements the TV program very well. Its roots draw from jazz, Spanish folk, New Orleans funeral, Klezmer, classical and even Kurt Weil.Superb! I can't reccommend this strongly enough.

Such a fresh record. I discovered it by accident in a record store in Barcelona. Just bubbling with life and heart. You have to hear it.
