I was about to give up on my beloved Vanity Fair for the slick pages that smudge, and the small print that was driving me crazy. The magazine was sometimes to heavy for my achy, hurting hands to hold. I don't mind the ads...I like to see what the young and fabulous like to buy, plus I like to smell the new fragrances. Then I bought my Kindle Fire last week, and now can read the articles online and not wear my extra strong readers and smudgeproof gloves to manuever the pages! The ads are so impressive in bright Kindle color and the paperwhite background makes reading so easy (except for some of those highbrow* words)! *That just makes me look them up, so it is also education. :) Besides not smelling the fragrances, I am back in love with Vanity Fair!

I used to subscribe to the paper version of Vanity Fair. I recently decided to be more ecologically minded and subscribe electronically. I loved the little glimpse of the crisp beautiful photos on my Kindle HD, but very quickly realised that it was stuck in a black hole. Only 4 pages downloaded. The rest display the never ending spinning circle of death. I have tried to delete the magazine to no avail. Now my Kindle seems to be frozen by this partial download. ARGHHHHHHHH!! I will now be entering into the infernal back and forth of Amazon customer service. I am very wary now of subscribing to electronic versions of magazines on my Kindle.

I have been a subscriber to Vanity Fair for quite a few years and love the articles so having it on my Kindle is nice for reading on the go.

We have subscribed to Vanity Fair, when we could afford it, for years. The digital version comes two weeks before the mailed issue.
I like the magazine, but the digital version should be set up as a text version, rather than photographed pages, so I could more quickly refer to articles, and increase the text size, which is becoming more neccessary as my eyes are aging more quickly than I am.

I just cancelled my subscription to Vanity Fair. My two star review is not about the content of the magazine, rather about the formatting change that began with the June 2015 issue. Before, the e-magazine was formatted for my Kindle Fire HDX 7 in. The pictures were gorgeous and the text to an article was full screen and continued down the page. The June issue was much smaller, it did not fill out the screen, leaving over an inch at the bottom. Worse, it is no longer formatted for an e-reader but rather looks like the print version. There are 2 or 3 columns of text on the page making it very difficult to read due to the small size. Also, the page flips are now animated and it takes a while for the page to render. I'm really an unhappy camper. Amazon was great. They refunded my money and said they would send feedback to the publisher.

I have been a Vanity Fair subscriber for many years. VF provides in depth coverage on a wide range of topics from politics to health to entertainment. The articles appear to be well written and researched. It has been my habit for many years to read the mag from cover to cover. I have found that even if an article doesn't appear to pertain directly to my interests I always learn something. The photography is fantastic as well. Granted, the politics and opinions do lean (heavily?) to the left but then again so do mine. I plan to continue enjoying and learning from this mag I hope you will find this info useful.

One of the best cutting edge magazines out there. Their features and articles are thought-provoking, well researched, meticulously written, and always interesting. They are usually well ahead of the curve with provocative book excerpts. It's no wonder that Vanity Fair is often quoted in the news since they manage to interview many controversial and famous (or infamous) people. I've lost count of how many years I've been a subscriber and still look forward to each issue. Yes, they have a ton of advertising beautifully done but it's fun to look at new trends.

VF makes it VERY easy to read online; I'm using a Kindle Fire. Close-up photos work best in small format. Quality of writers lately has not quite been up to snuff but sometimes this happens. Hope it's temporary.

I loved the fact that there were no ads in the magazine! Vanity Fair is one of my favorite magazines for the intelligent content, but there are so many ads in the print version that I often don't buy it. This was great!

That's all I need to say about this edition of Vanity Fair (which is my favorite magazine)! Actually, my quoting articles from Vanity Fair has become somewhat of a family joke. My son-in-law always teases me, saying, "Well, if you read it in Vanity Fair, it must be true!" There are several good articles in this one...with the added bonus of getting to stare an Jon Hamm whenever I want!
