Everything is plastic, except for the hardware, but the mounting mechanics are sound. I used the wall-mount option. There is a little flex in the mounts once attached, but I think this is reasonable for the mount type. If any sag occurs during the life of the mount, they can easily be re-pointed. I used about a 5-6 lb. speaker and the supplied drywall anchors did a fine job. I liked the look of these online even though the pictures weren't quite as detailed as I'd have liked. I wasn't disappointed with the actual product either. I think the provided screws were a little long for my particular speaker attachment, but they are pretty common and I was able to scavenge a set from my former floor stands. There are numerous mounting options and mounting screws and such.

Outstanding product. Comes with all neccesary hardware needed for a wide variety of small speaker brands designed for wall or ceiling mounting. You can configure mounts to point your speakers in almost any direction for optimum sound balance. Made of a very tough synthetic material with a nice flat black finish. Great Product!

Mounts and very easy to install, currently holding 8lb Pioneer mounts with no problems. They are adjustable which made it very easy for me to move them for the maximum sound quality without worrying that the speakers would fall down. I would buy these again in a heartbeat

I have a pair of vintage NHT Zero's I wanted to mount on my Plaster and Lathe wall as rear surrounds. I have talked myself out of doing this many times over the past 5 years. Finally I bought these mounts and bit the bullet. Here is what I learned about the mount kit.

First it comes with 2 different sets of speaker mounting hardware. for really small sattelites (Think Bose cubes) and regular bookshelf/small speakers. It also has most common mounting hardware such as keyholes, screw ins, etc... In my case I had to drill pilot holes into the speaker and use the oval shaped 2 screw mount. This was actually very easy following the instructions on the package.

The next step is you mount a bracket to the wall, it comes with 2 heavy plastic wall anchors which say they work for drywall, hollow block and masonry. I chose to use molly bolts which meant a little extra work, but plaster as I mentioned is scary and you don't want it crumbling. I drilled a small 1/4" hole halfway behind the bracket for the wire which I fished via the basement to the receiver on the far side of the room. Once everything is mounted you cannot see any wires.

Once this is done there is a small jointed connector piece that connects to the stud on the speaker bracket and the stud on the Wall Bracket. It can be adjusted for tilt to a pretty wide degree. Everything gets tightened up with the included Allen wrench and that's about it.

They seem well made and the instructions were very easy to follow.

I would definitely recommend these and would use them again in the future.

Used these to mount the surround speakers of my Energy RC-Micro 5.1.

The mounts look and feel well made, with hard durable plastic, they probably work without need for comment for many speaker brands. But I felt some things needed to be said for their use with Energy RC-Micro 5.1's.

The RC-Micro's use standard 1/4" x 20 tpi screws to secure the speakers to the mount. However, the mounting screw-sockets are set into a square recessed space in the speaker cabinet. Neither the screws supplied in the speaker package (1" length), nor the ones supplied with the mounts (3/4"?)will work as they are both too short.

My first thought was to file down the round plastic screw housing plate in the mount so that it would fit into the square recess in the speaker cabinet. After wasting time and energy filing this down to match the square recess, I realized that I would not be able to access and tighten the allen screw that secures to the cylindrical mounting stem which connects to the wall plate. So I abandoned this approach.

Another trip to the local Home Depot yielded 1/4" x 20 tpi x 1 1/2" stainless-steel screws with small screw heads (the small screw-heads are necessary - and these are harder to find in the store, of course!), these were long enough to secure the speaker to the mount without any filing of the screw housing. The housing would remain outside the recessed space in the speaker cabinet allowing access to the allen screw - not ideal, but it looked and felt secure enough. Once this was done, attaching the speaker to the wall plate was simple.

Suggest you buy a spare set or 2 of the mounts, cheap from some Amazon Marketplace sellers.

This is a great product that is very easy to use and looks great. The best part is that it can articulate to many positions easily.

These things work great. The only problem I have found is you can easily over tighten them and crush the side walls. If you have some wooden dowel pins cut them to size and insert them after tightening them to the speaker mount. Then when you clamp them to the wall mount the dowel will help reinforce the wall.

Mounts were pretty easy to install and look good overall. I have a stock surround sound speaker package (Yamahas) and the surround speakers are really light. That said, I'm surprised that the rocker arm for tilting / adjusting the speaker angles can only maintain one position - tilted down with the base of the speakers touching the wall.

I guess this is okay because they are positioned about 2 - 2.5 feet over our listening vantage point (sitting down), but it essentially renders any other adjustments / angles obsolete.

Lastly, my surrounds have pre-installed screw threads on the back, which were a perfect fit for one set of screws that came with the mounts. What was odd to me is that there were only 2 sets of the mounting screws in the right size (instead of four). Pretty odd...but simple enought to purchase a like size at the hardware store.

Overall I'm satisfied with the look and sturdiness of the mounts. Hopefully they hold up for the long run!

The speaker mounts work great with our surround satalite speakers and appear to be able to hold much more weight.

Quite disappointed with the product, actually a first disappointment with Amazon in a long time. I usually don't write reviews but a making a point now to do so to give back to the Amazon community from which I have tremendously benefited. I also usually don't buy from Marketplace but did it this time with obvious horrible results.

The biggest problem is that the manufacturer of the product is not Vantage Point, so I consider this false marketing. It is a cheaper look a like and you are better off considering cheaper Video Secu product options if you are on a budget. I read some good reviews about Vantage and ordered it from WennoW. The product arrived timely in a USPS, packaging with no product labels in clear plastic bags. I checked the specifications and documentation of Vantage Point on their website thinkvp.com. They sell the product for $20 and you are better off buying from them the original one.

Quality wise, the plastic parts are cheap and the mount is having difficulty holding speakers that weigh less than 3 pounds. Turning (rotating) the shaft by 90 degrees may hold the speakers better but then it defeats the point of swiveling mount.

On the positives, the shipped product has a lot of hardware since it is a look alike of Vantage Point.

The seller offered refund with a lot of pre-conditions, so not worth the time pursuing return.
