I bought this from the local MicroCenter planning to use it once and then return it (yeah, that's pretty cheap), but after opening it, it was so obviously perfect, I couldn't bear to part with it.

As far as 2.5" drive enclosures go, this is probably the best. Everything about it is sleek, functional, and well designed.

Pros:
Easy, easy setup. Everything's intuitive, you don't need the directions, but the directions are very clear, my grandma would be able to install this.
Sleek design, sturdy aluminum enclosure
-Every- cable you could use with this (not just those that are necessary) is included.
(only for those really picky about appearance) a lot of companies manage to make an otherwise good product look awful by pasting their name all over it. The Vantec name is still on this, but it actually looks good.

Cons:
(all the cons are very, very minor things)
3.5" bay does not sit perfectly flush with the 5.25" rack, no biggie unless you have lots of lights inside your computer (the light will shine through the gap) and are very very picky about its appearance (like me)
Sometimes takes a second of jiggling to get the enclosure to slide into the bay - it doesn't get stuck, it's just a little hard to align right
Can't buy the enclosure by itself, but this is cheap enough already, it would hardly be worth it
Green status LED - with current computer fashion (talk about nerdy), blue would have been a much better choice to go with the black exterior

Overall:
the big attraction with this enclosure is the hot-swap bay you can install in your computer. On the one hand, this is pretty pointless since USB ports are everywhere on most computers, but on the other hand there is something extremely satisfying and cool about sliding the enclosure into the bay. Overall, highly highly recommended.
