At the core, the song is your typical mellow indie-rock. However, the (probably synthesized) horns and ska undertones keep it interesting.

why did they make this song? it sounds like Snow Patrol mixed with Death Cab for Cutie the artist does not sound brave. After listing to the song 3-4 times there may be even a little Reel Big Fish/Beach Boys sound in there tho very small amount kind of like he likes Reel Big Fish/Beach Boys, fell in love with Death Cab for Cutie and as soon as Snow Patrol's forth album came out they started to work on this song... all and all this song is nothing better then a filler on [...] or some song you would hear on a C- movie you would soon forget about.
