About the Author

A. Costales has lived in Spain, Mexico, Thailand, and India, but recently returned to the United States with her family, where she is a Spanish teacher. As a little girl she shared her adventures with her super best friend, Clara. They inspected tadpoles, looked for counterfeit money, planned pet parades, and climbed Clara’s oak tree. One day they had a fight over magic potion and A. Costales had to learn how to apologize to her super best friend. Nowadays she shares her adventures with a dog named Gracie, a kitten named Lola, and her children, Kelsey and Samuel.

Alexandra Artigas was raised in several countries throughout Europe and Latin America, but mainly in Caracas, Venezuela, where she grew up on fresh mangoes and guavas, surrounded by palm trees, city lights, and tropical forest. It was in Caracas where she met her super best friend, Carolina. They had fantastic adventures, climbing trees, creating secret rooms with unique powers, and spending summers at her family’s farm, lost in the wilderness of the Amazon jungle, playing by the rivers and surrounded by exotic animals. She lives in southern California with her husband, Nicolas, and their little boy, Andrei.

This beautifully written book looks at the importance of having a good friend with whom to share learning and exploration. It then shows the importance of compromising and recognition of another's needs in order to keep a good friend.

Can't wait to see more of these books!!!
