I use fountain pens everyday, so I know what I am talking about: This is a great fountain pen for everyday writing -- one that you will not care gets lost or damaged due to its very low price (unlike the average (non limited edition) fountain pens, which can cost over $100 -- and sometimes much more). The Pilot Varsity pen lays down a great fine-to-medium line of ink, and the nib (IE: the writing tip) does not dry out too fast when left uncapped -- and the pen seems to write forever with its large internal ink reservoir. Fantastic buy; and with no muss-'n-fuss of having to refill the pen either!

The best thing about this pen is how it just flows when you write. The purple is gorgeous and stands out in cards and other writings. It does not leak or give your fingers the ink; perfect. The only downside was it was very cheap but the shipping was twice the cost of the pen.

I buy these by the box and leave my expensive fountain pens in their display cases. I write in court all day long. These pens are smooth, no drag, and very easy on the hand. The ink does not leak and dries quickly on the paper, so your hand does not get stained as it passes over the line you just wrote. The nibs are sturdier than my felt tip pens. The pens last a long time. Highly recommended. Everyone who uses one, wants one - as a consequence, I have to get more !
