4.0 out of 5 stars La Vasca Review-No It.Pop, but a Great Album
This album overall is very solid. It.Pop was a Five Star in my opinion, no song could ever match "Oggi Sono Io"!

I'll do a song-by-song review...

"La Vasca"-Fast and Catchy-You'll find yourself singing it all the time. "Una su 1.000.000"-Slow-Isn't all it's hyped to be...with cheesy lines like "piu' freddo della neve" and...

1.0 out of 5 stars Really awful
Alex Britti isn't so talented, or at least he continues to write stupid songs (with really silly lyrics), and sometimes his style can be irritating. It's a real pity that many other artists in Italy, who're surely better than Alex, haven't got the same radiophonic promotion. I hope things will get better, but now the Italian musical landscape makes me wince... Definitely...

I'll do a song-by-song review...

"La Vasca"-Fast and Catchy-You'll find yourself singing it all the time. "Una su 1.000.000"-Slow-Isn't all it's hyped to be...with cheesy lines like "piu' freddo della neve" and "piu' forte di Godzilla," "il sugo sulla pasta," it's a nice song and all with good intentions, but I don't know why it is so popular in Italy. "Mamma e Papa'"-"Fast"-Very moving and emotional song...for all you Italian kids close to your parents... "Fortuna che non era Niente"-Slow-BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM BY FAR-Amazing-on a par with "Lucciola"-Slow to Medium-Great Song... "Dendedendendenden"-VERY FAST-Don't really get what it's about but it's very catchy "Fuori"-Slow to Medium-Great Song "Milano"-Slow-AWESOME SONG-I lived in Milan so maybe I am biased, I could relate to everything he says in this song! Britti sings of his beloved "mare" to take him away from the City "Il Quadro"-Fast-Good Lyrics but I really can't stand the chorus "Come Funziona Il Mondo"-Very Slow-Really good song...great lyrics "Una Donna Come Tante"-Medium-Kind of a weird caribbean sound at first but then gets back to solid Britti...good song

4.0 out of 5 stars mostly happy tunes, kind of silly...but fun, December 11, 2003

a catchy kind of recording with a bit of an attitude. i like to listen to it when i am in the mood for some italjazzy kind of stuff...kind of cool in a milan kind of way.

it's not typical italian pop, eros or even pino d. kind of stuff and could be a bit disconcerting if you are looking for that, but definitely has a busy street kind of beat and lirics. lirics about everything from taking a bath to the impersonal kind of life that happens in a big city. i listen to it in the car...if that says anything? puts me in the mood for fighting at work...with a smile.

it does make me think of milan, the lucciole, ecc. i like it.
