Hey, it's vaseline in a tube for babies!,

This review is from: Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, 2.5 oz (71 g) (Health and Beauty)
Probably one of the world's best inventions, Vaseline. But, this tube is just fantastic for babies. We bought these for our newborn and it's just so much easier to use when you're putting it on the baby's belly button. Plus, it's best for preventing diaper rash than anything else out there on the market. When your hands are dry from washing them after EVERYTHING you do with the baby, the Vaseline comes to the rescue. This tube is a marvelous invention and the best sanitary-wise to use for a baby. I keep one in my purse for my dry hands too. Love this invention!

I know many use this for their infants but I had dry flaky skin around my nose and upper lip area and I added vaseline one evening and the next morning the dry flakes were history. I was told by a friend that who has really great skin that she uses the vaseline on her entire face after she splashes a little water on it and it has really made a difference. I did the same but I did get a little blemish on my chin and I'm usually not prone to acne anymore since I turned 40. I think I will stick to using it on the very dry areas only.

For muscle definition...,

I use only none perfumed Vaseline brand petroleum jelly Vaseline 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, 2.5 oz (71 g) before weight lifting by rubbing it on my arms and shoulders. Petroleum jelly does not allow the moisture to escape from the skin and that is why all athletes and swimmers apply heavily on their face before a long journey in the ocean. If needed, sometimes I even apply Vaseline on my feet and put on a sock before going to bed. Vaseline is a petroleum jelly, a mixture of paraffin and microcrystalline wax and mineral oil and although you may read that it has many benefits especially for burned skin, the fact is that research has shown that it may cause cancer since after all it is a petroleum product. Vaseline gives me a very good muscle definition, a sheen on my skin when I am doing weight lifting and more importantly it is a good moisturizer but it is greasy with the possible cancer draw back.I had been looking for a lotion (which is liquid) not a cream (which is solid) for external use, for hands during winter, face after shaving, feet for white dry skin, and for the entire body after mountain biking and surfing in burning sun for years. After shaving regardless wherever on your body, you are not suppose to use cream since it is solid and blocks the skin from breathing. You are suppose to use a lotion. Almond oil and Castor oil are the best for my entire body since both are easily absorbed and won't clog pores. Both products are considered food grade which means you can cook with it just like olive oil but the difference is that you can use these without even knowing that you have applied any on your skin since it is virtually odourless. Any oil from any nut or whole grain like brown rice will go rancid in less than six months so purchasing huge amount of nut oil will have no nutritional value shortly after production so I refill my small container mixing castor+almond which I keep in my bathroom drawer next to my shaving blade which is dark, away from any light and the rest wrapped in a black plastic bag in the freezer. Just like olive oil, it should never be exposed to any light. The mix is excellent for removal of black spots on skin, burned skin, massage, headache and much more and that is why I mix almond+castor. |
