This is such a great lotion. It actually helps repair your skin instead of getting your skin addicted to it. I use it as a face moisturizer every time I hop out of the shower or wash my face. Its not greasy AT ALL and you can even apply makeup shortly after. I have very oily skin and have tried other drugstore "Oil Free", "For Oily Skin" face moisturizers but they all make me break out. I recommend this to everyone. I love how it comes in such a giant bottle. It has lasted me almost a year! I even put it on my lips sometimes because chapstick never seems to work that well on mine.
A++! Your skin will feel silky and will stay moisturized all day. The lotion will give you a clean smell.

I have been using Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion for about five years to treat my Eczema, which is basically a skin condition which causes you to have extremely dry skin.

Without fail the product has worked great, up until a few months ago. They added this "Pure Oat Extract" and "Stratys" junk and took out a lot of the other ingredients. The lotion itself is much thicker than it used to be. While it used to blend in smoothly, it is now more like applying a heavy sunscreen. It doesn't make your skin moist, it just makes is smell like straw!

While this stuff used to work wonders after applying in the morning, it now only helps for five minutes top.

I've stopped buying the product.

The Vaseline "Aloe Fresh" is much more similar to the old formula, but it still doesn't work as well. The only other Vaseline lotion I'd recommend is the Men's Unscented lotion. Still, niether works as well as the old formula.

I'm extremely disappointed in Vaseline. A quick run down the ingredient list shows that they have removed various ingredients and replaced them with "fillers". My only theory on this is that they're trying to cut costs. Don;t be fooled by the label, it is NOT the same lotion that has been used since 1870, this is a cheap version of that lotion that doesn't work.

I've noticed that there is a lot more of this product in stores than there used to be, it seems to me it is not selling well. So we can only hope that Vaseline will realize the new product sucks and go back to the old formula, until then I'll be trying out some new brands to find something that actually works.

I went to the Country Inns in California. They had those little samples of "Vaseline Total Moisture Conditioning Body Lotion with vitamins E, A, & B-5". It is in a white bottle with a pale green cap that opens at the bottom. (Sounds like this is basically the same lotion as on here).

I was my hands about 30 times a day, which makes my hands not only super dry, but I get scratchy skin on my fingertips, which has scratched both my contact lenses and my eye ball itself.

So I use this just over night and it worked like magic! In about 2 nights my hands were the best I've seen them in years. The lotion absorbed in less than 5 minutes.

For years I've used prescription lotions for my extremely dry hands and they just don't work. Neither do store brands.

I called the company Vaseline and they told me they no longer make the product and I should try their new "Vaseline Total Moisture" (in the pale yellow tube) with "oat straw extract". It does not have "Vitamins E, A, or B-5". It actually has no vitamins at all. All the company wants to do is send me a coupon for up to a 10oz bottle to try. Way to go Vaseline...what a disappointment.

I took 2 of the sample bottles from the hotel...wish I took more.

Can someone please tell me where I can get the old version at? Thanks.

I was really excited to use this product because Vaseline is such a reliable and well-known brand, but this stuff doesn't seem to rub into my skin. My skin feels sticky all day, even when I consciously rub it in and try not to apply too much to my skin. I also have to be sure to wash it all off in the shower, or else when I reapply after it starts coming off in chunks from the day before, and it looks like sunburned skin. Very disappointed, I'm returning it for a different brand.

When I was in my fifties my skin on my arms was so sun damaged that I was embarrassed to go out without long sleeves. I found a product from Vaseline called Renew & Protect. It worked wonders on my skin. I used it faithfully and with the ingredients it contained, it completely restored and repaired my skin, plus protected it from any further sun damage. Of course Vaseline decided to do away with it. Now, 70 yrs. old, I am back to the same thin skin that tears at the slightest bump against it.

I called Vaseline and they told me they had replaced it with Renewal Lotion. It will repair your skin, but if you read the very fine print, it cautions against going out in the sun with it on. Instead of any sunscreen like the Renew & Protect had, it CAUSES sun damage. Just what I need! Why when a company has such a great product like Renew & Protect, do they do away with it????

Thanks for reading,
Sterra

I had used the original Vaseline Intensive Care all my life. I loved it and went through tons of it. I am 56 and after using the original for about 45 years, I was upset when I discovered it was discontinued. I have tried all the new formulas and cannot stand any of them. They leave a weird film on my skins which is bothersome. The original formula absorbed quickly and left no "slip" on my skin. Had I known it was being discontinued, I would have bought cases of it- that is how much I liked it. I have yet to find anything close and am still on the search. Why mess with what works- if the company wanted to introduce new products, that is fine, but they should never have discontinued the gem they had.
