Ok folks, forget all those phony baloney so called contemporary ska groups like no doubt. This is the real stuff!!! Los Fabulosos deliver a party of frenzied melodies which make you wanna shake it all night long. It reminds me of those awesome nights in those fabulous Cancun night clubs. I can't understand much of what they're saying, but does it really matter? Of course not! That just goes to show how good they are. These guys rip, pick them up before someone else does!

I can't count the number of parties and great moments I enjoyed with this album and the people I love. vasos vacios it's simply the best of Fabulosos. You will never be bored of listening this songs because they will always remember you dancing around with your frirnds drinking some wine and beer at the beach. I recomend the duet with latin queen Celia Cruz in "vasos vacios", "gitana", "revolution rock", "V centenario", and my favorites "mi novia se cayo en un pozo ciego" and my anthem "yo no me sentaria en tu mesa". Explosión de ritmos latinos, ska, punk y demas fusiones que te levantaran el ánimo. Cinco estrellas son pocas para el cielo que se merecen.

I would rated it with 5 if it should brought the original version of mi novia se cayo a un pozo ciego. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are south america, I grew up with their music and vibe and dancing to them until early morning,just the way we like it in Chile and answering to some ignorant that review this cd before : they were not educated by or in this country!.

I been looking for these CD for many years. It has all the original songs from the 80s and 90s. For me that I am a latina is very hard to find old music in a regular store. Amazon has an awesome selection. I can find CD's of artists that are not even famous here in the US. I really recommend these CD. The duo with Celia Cruz is great. Cadillacs and el matodor are my favorite songs. Gracias Amazon for your selection.

wow. this CD is one of the most dynamic ska cds ever... the types of music it covers while still being labeled as "ska" is crazy: there is dub, reggae, salsa and even some vallenata tossed in them. the latin accents on the rock music makes it a unique experience (to say the least). you havent skanked till youve skanked to this! even if you dont understand a word of spanish, you will have a good time. this music is universal.
im not really a kid, btw, and as a jazz/ska musician myself, i must say that the MUSICAL QUALITY on this is great: the melodies and rhytms blow my mind each time i hear them....
i could go on for days about this!

If only all compilations were this good! Wisely enough, the LFC recycles a few of their older themes interseped with newer, partydown versions of older songs, and a few new goodies like the unforgetable, very danceable "Matador". A most effective expose on this Argentine band's work. The mixture of ska, mambo, funk, and rock will exhilarate even anglos.

Slap this on and move! There is nothing else you can do or expect! High power, capturing, pure life, can't get enough of it. I have listened to it all the time recently. There is one thing you can't do to it: Can't push it in the background. L.F.C. will push you till you drop! VIVA LA VIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you havent heard MATADOR, you donno what you're missing!
VASOS VACIOS continues the meaningful lyrics and of course there is LEON SANTILLON for all you caddie lovers.

GITANA and TE TIRARE are the rock picks of the album.

EVERY song catches on with you and if you like the Caddies, then this is one album you will LOVE.

THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THIS ALBUM, I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH!! THE MUSIC IS A TWIST OF SKA AND LATIN GROVE THAT STILL MAKES ME DANCE EVERY TIME I HEAR IT. MATADOR IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE CD BECAUSE ITS MESSAGE AND SOUND ARE GREAT!!

This album comprises the best of the Cadillacs, especially the Classic songs like Gypsie (Gitano), Matador, and of course, the often forgotten, and never highly enough spoken about, first track. It is an excellent introduction to the whole vibe of Los Cadillacs, and is an excellent beginning to what is, one of, if not the finest album. Even if you don't speak or understand spanish, this is still a MUST HAVE in anyone's CD collection.
