Well.. my initial impression of the boot is ... that its very comfortable, keeps your feet nice and warm during cold weather.
I just got these and im wearing them in the office thinkin i should try to break them in as much as i could for tomorrows hiking trip.
But these dont really need breaking in... comfy out of the box.
Oh and about the color of the image ... it is not that dark as the picture suggests..its a lighter brown than the Amazon picture. Picture Amazon provided has a red-ish tone to it.

Will have to update more after i get back from the hiking trip.

Update: So I wore these boots on my day hiking trip to Stokes State Forest. I think i hiked about 10 miles total... the trails were moderate to strenuous..some down right dangerous!!.. This is my first hiking boots so i really cant compare it to others,,, but they were very comfortable.
There were a lot of streams that we came across, and had my boots in 2-3 inch deep puddles, and my feet stayed dry the whole time. Support on the ankle was excellent while being comfortable around the ankle. I have very weak ankles, so this was very important to me. While i did not have any blisters, there was some hot spots on the bottom of my foot, but i serious doubt any boot would be totally comfortable after the kind of hike i did. The fatigue on my foot was more from the hike than the boots..

I am very satisfied with the purchase and plan to wear these through out the winter.. just had a nor-easter storm hit us with sleet, rain, snow and my feet are dry.

Good price for these from Amazon otherwise look around.
The tongue and laces on these are subpar, the tongue is not high enough
so the laces want to slip over the top of tongue. Otherwise fine boots
    and good support, sturdy.

I wanted a simple looking, water-proof boot. They are somewhat breathable. My feet generally run on the cold side, so my feet aren't really hot in these. These are very light but rugged feeling. I can run and jump far without it pulling me down. The toe cap feels beastly. The toe box on these shoes are a bit on the "wider" side. I ordered a half size up, hoping the sock would fill the gap. No matter, it still fits (with a little bit of breathing room), and I had no blisters breaking them in.

I also want to note that I was looking into these vs the Vasque Breeze. I wanted the original one but they were sold out. I like the way these look, especially when they are broken in. I've seen the Breeze 2.0 on the trails, I like mine better :) Mostly chose this for the simpler style.

Light and fast, rugged and simple!!

We received these boots April 14th and now it's July the 12th so three months old. My husband uses them for his landscaping business 4 days a week. Now there are two raised spots in the sole of the shoe and he can no longer wear. We have purchased several pairs before and this has never happened. $140 for three months of wear is expensive. Not sure what is going on with Vasque. Deeply disappointed.

I had ordered a pair of Vasque Breeze boots a while ago but didn't like them so I sent them back. They were too narrow and I didn't want the collar of the boot to be so high. Since then I've been wearing Hi-Tec hiking boots and shoes and they're pretty good. I only bought a pair of Vasque Vista boots because I won a gift card and they had good reviews. I also noticed that the boot was a true "mid" height boot. So I chanced it.

The GOOD stuff: Very surprised at how well they fit. Lots of room up on the toe box for my slightly wide feet, unlike the Breeze model. The greatest surprise is how LIGHT they are. They look kinda heavy and clunky in the picture but they are lighter than any Hi-Tecs I have. The fit is nice. Yes, they are waterproof. I like the material and craftsmanship of the leather upper. I love the simplicity. Not just for aesthetics, but for cleaning off mud as well. Ankle support is also good. The tread is very aggressive and isn't "hard" and slippery like other hiking or trail shoes. They stick to rocks really well. The toe cap is rubber and not a synthetic material. I like this for durability and waterproofing. Some other hiking shoes I've had got shredded and also leaked water through the toe.

The BAD stuff: The tongue is too short for some reason and keeps making its way under the top lace. On my second hike I ran the laces off the top hook back down to the lower hook and then tied it off. This was the only way to keep the lace and knot from flipping behind the tongue but you may sacrifice a little upper support though. I think this is a design defect. The arch support is not awesome. There is a little support there but not much. This is a problem for me because I have high arches.

Fits as expected. I love the feel and fit of Vasque and always have. I wanted a boot that I could take hiking in he Great Smoky Mountains that wasn't too heavy and cumbersome. In the spring, summer, and fall I usually hike in a hiking shoe but like a waterproof boot to wear in the winter, especially in the snow. This boot is sturdy and comfortable. I have been breaking it in by wearing it around the yard as I do yard work and cut down trees. The boot is a bit stiff and I would advise a long break in period before wearing it on any sort of long hike.
The biggest complaint I have is similar to many others I have read, that the tongue could be a little bit longer so the laces won't slip behind it. Otherwise a very good boot.
