I'm very happy with my Vasque boots. They required no break-in period and have been comfortable from day one. I've worn them hiking in snow and my feet stayed warm and dry. However, it was raining one day when I wore them and found them to be slippery on indoor hardwood floors which makes me wonder how they would be on wet slick rocks - remains to be tested. Ordering a half-size larger than my normal size turned out to be a wise decision. I also bought the same boot for my husband and so far he is happy with his boots too.

I was needing a good pair of light weight hiking boots quickly. These have been super quick to break in. And not a single blister. Even though I've been on my feet in them all day, at the end of the day my feet aren't tired like they were with my other shoes. I highly recommend these boots. Next I'll be getting the low cut Vasque shoes.

I just ordered these shoes and received them super quickly. Although in the description it says they are GoreTex. However, the boots do not carry the signature GoreTex label that all GoreTex products usually carry. So I'm going to return them, unfortunately. Otherwise they look great and were efficiently sent.

Love these boots. Lightweight and very comfortable. BUT they are not waterproof. Ordered up 1/2 and they fit great.

I've bought these for summer hiking which I haven't done yet, but so far I've used them to trudge around snowbound, frozen and wet city streets in 20 deg weather. They have kept my feet dry and toasty, even while wading through some pretty deep puddles. They are very stable in all sorts of conditions (although I have used yak trax when it's very icy). They have been super comofrtable since day one. I look forward to using them for their intended purpose but so far I've been very pleased. I did buy a size bigger than I normally would and my toes feel roomy, while still getting great ankle support.

Vasque quality shines! From the first use my boots were great, no blisters or sore feet and the soles provided good grip.

I broke every bone (and tore all the tendons) in my ankle in a fall last December. I have osteoporosis and the damage was severe. After working my way through four cast changes and an air cast, I was ready for wearing shoes again. I originally bought police running boots. They offered the support the doctor ordered for me but they were heavy and HOT. I found these boots on Amazon. If you are not familiar with the name "Vasque," please be advised they are a brand of Red Wing. These boots are AMAZING!!! They fit like a dream and totally support my ankle yet they are lightweight and as advertised, absolutely breathable. I can only imagine how great they would be for hiking but I can without hesitation recommend them to anyone with foot or ankle problems. I was told this week that I will never be able to wear "regular" footwear again. I could not be happpier that I found these boots -- somehow it does not seem so bad to have to wear boots the rest of my life. I plan on stockpiling these boots; cannot take any chances of a sell out! Again, if you have foot problems and were told you need support, these are the boots for you! Having read earlier reviews, I ordered one half size up and that was the right thing to do.

I have worn these boots frequently since I received them and I like them. I've worn them in mud, heavy rain, and slippery rocks and they held up well in all these conditions. The best part of the boot for me is the ventilation, which is so much better than my previous boots.

Gift for daughter. she loved them and wore them throughout the holidays to break them in for a hiking trip. Good fit, good quality.
