4.0 out of 5 stars Quality has changed
The boots use to have two sets of metal lacing hooks at the top of the boot and with this newer pair, there is only one set of hooks and they are plastic and difficult to pull the lace under. I'll have to wait and see whether the hooks become easier to use and if they break. I suggest going back to the old metal standby, even if it costs more...shame on Vasque. I still...

3.0 out of 5 stars Women's Vasque Briza boots
I really wanted to like these boots because they were such a good price on the Amazon site with the extra 20% off an already reduced rpice. I went with a half size larger than usual to avoid any toe bumping during hikes. They are very lightweight, which I like, but there is very little cushening in the sole and footbed and I ultilmately decided against them.

I still wear my old Vasque boots gardening and needed a new pair to wear to work - all the other features are just as good as the ones I purchased over 4 years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars love these boots, June 3, 2011

I didn't want to buy these boots. I wanted a more traditional looking hiking boot but when I put these on there was no question that I had to buy these. They are really comfy and I can go all day hiking with the support I need. My feet never feel over heated even with a wool sock on. They are so lightweight that after wearing winter boots all winter when I put these on I felt like I was flying not walking. These are an excellent value for the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for every day outdoor comfort, May 26, 2011

I hike over uneven ground including wetlands/wet areas for my work and these boots are perfect. They are light enough to wear both in the office and out in the field. My feet stay dry walking through wet grass and boggy areas but they are cool and breathable.

I love these boots. They feel comfortable, but supportive. They run narrow, so I needed to switch to a 8.5 wide. The one problem I had was the insole in the shoe has an arch in an uncomfortable spot for my foot. I just removed it and replaced it with a purchased insole.

4.0 out of 5 stars Women's Briza boots, April 9, 2011

Got these boots because I wanted something lightweight. And they are. I upgraded the inserts and felt no pain even on a dry gulch scramble. BUT - they offer virtually no ankle support, in fact not much more than a trail runner shoe. Overall, nice boot.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE, March 12, 2011
This review is from: Vasque Women's Briza GTX Hiking Boot (Apparel)
These are my favotite boots! I can walk, hike, snowshoe or even run a bit in these. I use them in all kinds of weather and my feet are comfortable and dry. For me they are perfect. Not stiff at all, very flexible.

2.0 out of 5 stars Stiff, November 12, 2009

Too stiff straight out of the box to get any serious consideration. I ordered a wide width and it wasn't wide at all. Usually I size down in a wide width but that was a mistake in this case.
