I have hiking boots, but this is the best hiking shoe. I have a troublesome knee and am sometimes unsteady. The Vibrum sole keeps me gripping the trail/sidewalk/mall floor/all of those. I love it! It would be hard for me to try something without it. I feel protected and much more comfortable when on uneven surfaces with the sole of this shoe, too!
