I have been struggling to find a pair of shoes that are perfect for dog walking. I think these shoes are going to be perfect. I wore them for the 1st time yesterday and I LOVE them. They have a very firm sole, which is just what I need. I get so sick of feeling every acorn and pebble under my feet I think these shoes have eliminated that. My feet are so sore by the end of the day and I'm hoping these shoes eliminate that too.

you should order half size larger. the toe box is small and stiff and the back heel chafed quite a bit--still hoping i can break these in and use them...

These shoes are true to size. They have very nice treads. I will be hiking in these daily for months to come.
I didn't need to break them in. I'm pleased.

This is the second pair of Vasque Velocity VST GTX shoes I have owned. I walk 5-7 miles a day, every day, walking my dogs in all kinds of terrain - rain or shine. The shoes lasted me about a year with this much use. The comfort level is terrific, from the first time I put them on. I would highly recommend these shoes.

Most of the time when I wear these, it's for walking on city sidewalks. Just like the other two pairs of Vasque shoes I've had, these met my needs and have stood up to use and time, and are quite comfortable. I love Vasque for two reasons: (1) I have pronated feet and their shoes are always comfortable for me. (2) The sizing is consistent. If you wear a 10 in one model, you'll wear a 10 in another.

Purchased a pair of with the blue strip a few weeks ago. Shoe runs small, get a 1/2 size larger for proper fit. Just using these shoes to walk around in and do errands. My feet get very tired in these due to the lack of arch support. I will be putting inserts into these shoes.
I love the Vasque hiking shoes, so I was a little disappointed with these.

I purchased these for a cruise to Alaska, planning to wear them for hiking in the Mt. Rainier area before our cruise and in Alaska while we were in port. Comfort is #1 for me, but I was also looking for shoes that would keep my feet dry. These shoes worked out on both accounts. I was a little nervous before we left because the toe box is somewhat tight, and I could feel some rub on my big toe. But the shoe stretches enough that it worked out. I didn't need any break-in time - I hit the trails the first time I wore them, and I was very glad for my purchase!
