More carnage, more violence, and more blood soaked hilarity... that can mean only one thing. Charlie and Johnny are back for more playboy vampire action...

This review is from: Vassalord Volume 2 (v. 2) (Paperback)
Out of all the shonen-ai I've read, vassalord has to be the most well developed and least angsty. This volume was very good and followed up nicely on the first volume. It elaborated on the mysteries in previous chapters while sprinkling in a few new mystiques. The romance is unorthodox, both of the characters having an unclear role in the relationship. The book would have gotten a five stars from me, however there were some serious faults. One, Tokyo Pop translated this very badly. Very strange english expressions were used that the characters undoubtedly didn't say and there was one grammatical error that I caught. Second, the last chapter wasn't vassalord. It was a bonus chapter of a one-shot manga by Nanae Chrono. To say the least I was very dissappointed when i realized that I only get to read 3 chapters of Vassalord. All in all, none of the faults were that of the actual content of the story, rather just technical errors made on Tokyo Pop's part. Pick up this book, you'll like it.
Sidenote- somebody needs to change the picture, that's an image of volume one.
