Product Description

The Vater Vintage Bomber Bass Drum Beater was designed in collaboration with Otis Brown III, drummer for jazz great Joe Lovano. The Vintage Bomber was conceived and designed to replicate the soft but boomy bass drum tones of the great jazz era. The Vintage Bomber's cork center is wrapped with a soft and puffy synthetic covering and is reminiscent in look, feel, and sound of the original lamb's wool beaters from decades ago.

Great for small clubs. Has nice soft sound muffled sound. Nice to have as another voice to use along with a standard beater. I just love the sound.

Sounds very vintage. Replace my old Speed King beater with this one, and it definitely gets that older sound. The shaft is a little bit odd of a width, and I've found it sometimes doesn't fit into some pedals. But if it does, it works really well, and sounds awesome. Love the feel it adds.
