This carrier is by far the best I have had on. No problems carrying the weight of a child. Extremely stable when on. Very comfortable. Build quality is excellent. Works equally well for flying and fits in the overheads.

A very good backpack, with only one drawback - it's sun cover and (non existing in pack, or at all?) rain cover.
Sun cover is relatively small, and covers only the head from sun coming from above.
If sun comes from the sides, or diagonally from above and sides, which is usually the case, the sun cover is useless.

Besides that, the backpack is very adjustable (I am 1.8 meters tall and wife is 1.67 meters tall, and we're OK with it).Has small side pockets (can be reached by hand when backpack is on.
Has medium back pocket, which is very nice. Sun cover is stored inside.

Has a good quality feel, robust and looks very nice.
If you live in a sunny area, check for solutions for the sun/rain problem. Other than that - it's great.

The carrier is perfect and very comfortable for long hike. Everything is very adjustable to create the perfect fit for comfort. The built in sun shade works perfectly. This is an excellent carrier that i would highly recommend to anyone.

This really is a great pack. For the new sale price it is a great value compared to other packs out there. The harness is really key. Pretty much the comparison to a good backpacking pack with great adjustabiilty and flexibility. The quality is also great. The only thing I found funky was the plastic buckles for adjusting the height. These are similar to the ones on your ski boots and was worried that these might be suseptible to failure.

I returned it because the Deuter was just a much better design. We found a good used one for the price of the new Vaude.

We bought this carrier when our daughter outgrown her Baby Bjorn at 9 months. She is now 27 months and 12 pounds we are still using it on some larger hikes. Yes, my husband gets a gret workout but he does mind.
