The best saw I've ever owned.,

This review is from: Vaughan & Bushnell 250RBD Double Edged Bear Saw Replacement Blade (Tools & Home Improvement)
The Vakughn Bear saw is without question the finest easiest to use saw I have ever tried. After 50 years of using standard push to cut saws - my son-in-law gave be a Vaughn Bear Saw for Christmas last year. The saw with the the double edged 250RBD blade. I have not used any other hand saw since. I guess I will have to learn to make music with the old saws. The bear saw is light, easy accurate clean cuts in wood, handle the handle lightly and gently, it willl work better.

blade was exactly as described, expected, wanted........arrived 2 days prior to projected dd......the plastic blade guards are a nice little bonus, to keep the teeth sharp between uses
at 64 i expect things to be a certain way and, voila! all was cool.......i won't hesitate to use amazon.com again! thanks

Samurai Saw,
By Christopher Gadomski (Morgantown, WV United States) - See all my reviews

My brother makes fun of me for my love of this saw.
I first met the Japanese pull saw 6 years ago when I worked as a carpenter in the Exhibitions Department at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. Upon first using this magnificent saw I fell deeply and irreversibly in love. These days, I avoid using a powered saw whenever I can instead use my Vaughan Bear Saw. The dual bladed saw has fine teeth for beginning a cut and for making fine and beautiful cuts. On the opposite side, it has a rougher toothed saw for faster and rougher cutting. After using my pull saw, I'll never again go back to a European style push saw. And neither will you. |
